Ireland is gloriously returning to ROADPOL.

The news came after a meeting of representatives of the European Roads Policing Network and the national police service of Ireland, An Garda Síochána, in Budapest, 10th January. The meeting was dedicated to negotiating the rejoining of An Garda Siochana which ceased its membership in 2021. The sides came to an agreement that Ireland will rejoin ROADPOL at first formal instance available.

Back At Full Throttle With Pandemic End

 

ROADPOL Alcohol&Drugs operation is back at full throttle after the end of the pandemic with a sharp 75% increase in number of inspected drivers compared to 12 months ago.

The latest enforcement action was carried out throughout Europe 5-11 December 2022 targeting a period traditionally notorious for drink/drug driving. Read more

2022 Road Safety Stats

 

Estonia is among the first EU countries to publish preliminary 2022 road safety statistics and the conclusions are far from optimistic.

The traffic picture has improved over the years, but not enough, informed the Estonian Police and Border Control Service.

Recently published study finds out psychological approach is key to influencing road traffic behavior of school students.

The study by Silke von Beesten, head of the German Traffic Collision Victim Support Association (Verkehrsunfall-Opferhilfe Deutschland e.V.) and Andre Bresges is a follow-up of major German prevention project “Crash Course NRW”. Read more
