The November 2023

ROADPOL Newsletter

Dear road safety enthusiasts,

in this edition you will learn the results of our latest enforcement campaign targeting driver distraction. It is an increasingly concerning phenomenon which is the reason why this year ROADPOL elevated the operation and for the first time held it separately from any other events.

Further on you can take a look at our President's participation in a recent international road police competition where also a new country formally concluded its accession process to become the next ROADPOL member.

Next you can read about our fellow police officers in Ireland and their fight against speeding.

We have also included some fresh insights on the global spread of autonomous vehicles and its road safety implications.

Last not least find out about the latest road safety campaign in France focused on drug driving.

Enjoy your reading!

Yours Sincerely,

Sanja Veic

ROADPOL General Secretary
