Truck speeding continues to be a chronic problem, results of ROADPOL Truck&Bus Operation show.

The campaign, carried out from the 10th till the 16th of May, focused on the control of commercial goods and passenger transport. During the operation 187.308 trucks and 43.389 buses were checked in as much as 18 ROADPOL member countries. 36.538 violations were found (trucks: 33.400, buses: 3.138).

Safe Holiday Operation

Vehicle weighing will be аmong the features of 2021 ROADPOL Safe Holiday Operation.

The opportunity will be made available by Luxembourg police, who are also planning a joint campaign with the national auto club (ACL) to inform people on how to travel safe during the summer season. Read more

New Enforcement Technologies Topic Of 2021 ROADPOL Seminar

 

Six reputable presenters from a wide range of fields concerning road safety will attend the 2021 ROADPOL Seminar, the confirmed program shows.

This year's seminar will be dedicated to New Enforcement Technologies and will be hosted by the German Police University in Muenster in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Read more

Poland Bans Phone

Use When Crossing

 

Poland prohibited pedestrians from using a phone when crossing.

This comes as a result of changes to the Traffic regulation scheduled to come into force on the 1st June 2021. The changes also grant full priority to crossing pedestrians. Read more

IACP To Support ROADPOL Safety Days

The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) pledged its support for ROADPOL Safety Days campaign.

The action was announced within a recently published list of resolutions adopted by the Association. Read more

ROADPOL Council’s Deledda

Presented ADR To Students 

 

ROADPOL Council member Federica Deledda made a presentation on carriage of dangerous goods by road (ADR) to students.

The lecture was held at the International Transport System and Transport Risk Seminar at the Polytechnic University of Milan. Read more
