Dear ROADPOL devotees,

by tradition September marked the annual peak of our endeavors towards increased road safety across the European continent.

Our flagship annual campaign, the ROADPOL Safety Days, was successfully carried out with as much as 23 European countries taking active part and support from police organizations and units from as far as the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

For the first time this year we upgraded our primary tool for wider public engagement, the ROADPOL Safety Days Pledge, to introduce the online signature in line with the current digital age.

16 European countries reported ZERO road fatalities at the control day of the 2021 ROADPOL Safety Days campaign.
All participants reported either ZERO fatalities or a number considerably lower than the average. The overall number of road fatalities was at 43% of the average, which occur everyday in the European Union. 606 events were organized during the week with the aim of attracting public attention to the subject of road safety. There were 1290 pledges for responsilble road behavior signed online with no less than 900 signed on paper. Read more
