Two ROADPOL Presidents To
Speak At World Police Summit
15 FEB - Two ROADPOL presidents are expected to speak at the upcoming World Police Summit (WPS).
Current and Honorary presidents, respectively, Mr. Volker Orben and Mr. Paolo Cestra, will take part in the event, scheduled to be carried out in Dubai, 14-17 March.
Hosted and supported by Dubai Police, the World Police Summit describes itself as a venue to develop the thought-leadership, direction and strategies that will shape the future of policing in response to global security challenges.
Mr. Orben, a representative of the Police in the German State of Rhineland-Palatinate, will be among the distinguished speakers at the Police Innovation & Resilience Conference within the WPS. He was selected due to his vast experience in state and federal traffic. Mr. Orben will present forward-looking strategies and technologies to minimize road accidents. „As more technologies such as autonomous driving become available, and big data and artificial intelligence to build integrated traffic management systems and forecast traffic-related risks, Mr. Orben will shed light on how police forces employ novel approaches to improve compliance and minimize accidents“, the organizers announce. Formed as a Q&A session, the event is designed to highlight the evolving role of transport police forces to minimize road accidents.
ROADPOL President of Honor Paolo Cestra, First Executive Officer at the Italian State Police, will be sharing insights on enforcement strategies and sanctions of road safety that should be applied for drivers violations, as well as the forward-looking strategies, traffic management and awareness programs to minimize road accidents.
