ROADPOL Wins the 2021 IACP Award

For Excellence In Traffic Safety

 

ROADPOL has been selected 043003Cynthia Renaudas the winner of the 2021 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Award for Excellence in Traffic Safety.

The announcement came in a letter from IACP President Cynthia Renaud to ROADPOL President Volker Orben. „The European Roads Policing Network (ROADPOL) is an exemplary police agency and leader in the field of transportation safety“, noted the president of the world’s largest and most influential association of police leaders with more than 31,000 members in over 165 countries. „On behalf of the IACP I thank you for your service and congratulate ROADPOL on this achievement“, Renaud concluded.

Ceremony

As the winner of the IACP Excellence in Traffic Safety Award, the European Roads Policing Network will be recognized during the IACP Annual Awards Banquet. This is scheduled to happen at the close of the 2021 IACP Annual Conference and Exposition in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on September 14, 2021. As an awardee ROADPOL will also receive a complimentary one-year membership to the IACP.

The award is a clear recognition of ROADPOL as a leading police organization not only in Europe, but globally. It stimulates our ambition to be leaders within the field of road traffic enforcement and a moving force towards enhanced road safety“, commented President Orben, himself a representative of the Police of the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Mission

The IACP has been for years advancing leadership and professionalism in policing and is known for its commitment to enhancing community safety. In view of its mission earlier this year IACP pledged its support for ROADPOL's flagship campaign – the Safety Days. IACP emphasizes that the campaign is aimed at raising awareness of the risks for road users and promoting safe behavior and respect for traffic rules.
