Police Drop Stop Signs For Flowers
8 MARCH - Police throughout Europe changed stop signs with flowers for the International Women's Day, ROADPOL Media observed.
On the roads of Karlovac County, Croatia, traffic police pleasantly surprised a number of lady drivers by stopping them and handing them roses. The goal was to promote desirable behavior of all participants in road traffic. All across Lithuania police officers also stopped ladies behind the wheel to present them with tulips as a sign of respect. The same “operation” was carried out in Plovdiv and Kostinbrod in Bulgaria as well. The police there emphasized that women cause less traffic collisions than men per kilometre travelled and are generally be more careful when driving.
