Poland: Campaign "STOP ROAD AGRESSION"

More and more drivers on our roads install cameras in their cars that record the image in front of the vehicle. It happens that the recorded video material helps to decide in the event of road incidents about the perpetrator's fault. More and more often, the image recorded with such a camera also allows for an effective fight against road aggression and contributes to the prosecution of gross traffic violations. This year, almost 1,000 applications from drivers were sent to the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. mailbox.

The submitted materials are each time analyzed in terms of

bringing to account the perpetrators of offenses and aggressive behavior on the road. Officers identify the owners of the vehicles and issue fines or bring court proceedings against drivers who have committed gross traffic violations.

Drivers must be aware that even the absence of a police patrol does not exempt them from having to comply with the regulations. Most often, police desks deal with cases of failure to comply with traffic lights, failure to give way to right of way, incorrect overtaking and offenses against pedestrians. In the case of gross offenses, police officers do not impose a penalty notice, but submit a request for punishment to the court, which may even withhold driving privileges and order a ban on driving any motor vehicles.

The policemen call for caution on the road. Let us remember that all maneuvers in road traffic should be performed in a correct and thoughtful manner. Our road safety depends mainly on ourselves.
