Ulrich Gloor

Representative of the Chief Traffic Police of Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein

Since the federal structure of the Swiss Confederation, responsibility for internal security and the police sovereignty lies with the individual cantons. The cantons determine the structure of their police authorities independently and according to their needs.

There is close cooperation on a voluntary basis between the different police corps of Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. That is why, the heads of the traffic police of Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein have joined together to form the working group ACVS. Ulrich Gloor was appointed representative of ROADPOL.

Ulrich Gloor is a lawyer and attorney at law. After various employments in courts and the administration, he joined the corps of the cantonal police Thurgau. Since 2018 he is head of the traffic police.
